Unfortunately our 4yr old healthy pup has passed away. Whilst this vet seemed to suspect a tick on the 3 separate consultations over 3 days our pup was treated for pain. Of course we kept purchasing the expensive pain medications which in the end could have killed him due to respiratory failure. Thankfully we didn't give him the second dose she recommended of Tramadol and rushed him to a 24 hr vet, only a couple of hours after she saw him. The 24 hr vet found the tick within 5 mins but recommended not to continue with treatment as our poor baby already had signs of pneumonia and was unlikely to make it. This experience has been hard on us, we really put a lot of trust into this vet. Especially since we have used this vet for general vaccinations, checkups etc and those experiences have been great. Unfortunately we cannot recommend her in a serious situation as perhaps she is over worked and missing key referral points? We too hold blame for the situation as we didn't find the tick either. I would just hope that in similar future scenarios this vet, if she suspects a tick please please just refer to an emergency hospital immediately their consultation is the same price as yours and they really do know how to handle this situation. Please don''t tell anyone to wait and see our pup was such a fighter he just didn't get dramatically worse until the 3rd day poor baby was holding on like a trooper... and please anyone that reads this check your pups for ticks this one was hiding in the fold of his armpit. RIP little darling.

Dr Anna is very passionate and caring when it comes to my pets. I will always trust her to provide them with the best care possible. I own a very fractious Burmese, and Dr Anna's gentle approach allows her to be stress free and comfortable during each visit. Could not recommend this clinic more!

Very good with both our dogs, treatment seems to be working the way we were told it would so so far all good. Dr Anna seems to have a more animal state of mind attitude towards her patients making sure their visit is as calm and pain free as possible experience which seems to work well for the dogs. We are very appreciative of the extra effort she put in whilst treating our dogs.

We are travelling around Australia with our cat, Sushi who has chronic kidney disease. Animal Options was recommended by the Sandy Bay Holistic Vetinary Clinic. Anna & her team were wonderful. After pet ownership of a lifetime, we were fortunate to discover the benefits of holistic vets. There is an aura of calm & peacefulness & lack of stress which transmits to the pet & ( owners) that a lot of other vetinary clinics do not have. The bonus is that they are willing to use traditional medicine & a combination of alternative medicine. We were very happy with Anna & certainly recommend her clinic.
